Aeroplanned Engages U.S. Flight Schools on Training Efficiency at Flight School Association of North America 2026 Conference
California, USA – Aeroplanned, a flight training resource planning and training timeline forecasting software provider, has participated in the Flight School Association of North America (FSANA) Conference 2026 in Coronado, engaging with flight training organisations across the U.S. pilot training sector to discuss operational challenges and student success in pilot training delivery.
The company highlighted the importance of consistent training scheduling and resource alignment to support student progression and on-time program completion. Aeroplanned CEO Jen Liddle spoke on a conference panel focused on student success in pilot training, addressing how operational planning and pacing of training program’s directly impact student outcomes.
AFM previously reported that Aeroplanned has expanded internationally in its third year of operation and is now working with flight training organisations across 15 countries, including large-scale flight schools and its first airline customer using the platform to manage cadet pilot programme planning.
The company has also expanded its team, with Raphaël Pellissier joining to support business development, bringing experience from Airbus alongside operational insight as an active flight instructor. In addition, Sam Matthews is expected to join as a senior developer in early 2026 to support product development.
Aeroplanned has recently introduced several platform enhancements aimed at improving training visibility and planning accuracy for flight schools.

The “3-Month Tracking and Resource Planning Dashboard” provides a rolling forward view of student progress, cohort status and resource utilisation to identify bottlenecks or under-used capacity.

Additional features released in 2025 focus on improving data accuracy, including prompts that flag missing or outdated planning inputs, particularly supporting flight schools without dedicated resource planning teams.

- Recent auditing experience
- Experience with aviation training organisations and FSTD operators, including EASA

Australia’s RMIT Aviation Academy Welcomes Over 100 Student Pilots for 2026 Intake
Australia – RMIT University’s STEM College has commenced Semester 1 with more than 100 new student pilots beginning flight training in 2026, reinforcing its position as one of Australia’s larger university-linked aviation education providers with its RMIT Aviation Academy.
An additional 150+ students have enrolled in non-flight aviation management programmes, supporting broader industry workforce development beyond cockpit roles. The aviation cohort forms part of a wider multi-college intake, with thousands of students commencing studies across RMIT’s four colleges.
AFM previously reported about RMIT Aviation Academy’s record-breaking 2025, with major training milestones, fleet expansion, and new program launches positioning the academy as a growing force in Australia’s flight training landscape.

RMIT Aviation Academy flew over 20,000 flight hours in 2025 – the highest in its history.

The academy aims to increase this to 25,000 hours in 2026, supported by further fleet expansion, particularly in the multi-engine category.

Four new aircraft were added to the training fleet in 2025.

Approximately 60 aviation degree students graduated during the year.

The first VietJet Air cadet pilot cohort is nearing the completion of their training, a significant milestone in the academy’s international cadet partnerships.

The Safety Academy, launched in partnership with Qantas Group, was introduced in 2025, adding to the academy’s training offerings.

The academy also plans to launch new flight simulators and announce new training agreements in 2026.
